If it’s outstanding golf you are looking for, look no further. All guests have full access to all Four Seasons facilities, including both premiere golf courses, Pacifico and Punta Mita Bahia designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Integrating a game of golf at these exclusive courses with a stay at Rancho 9 makes your Punta Mita vacation a truly memorable experience!
The Pacifico course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is most famous for its unique landscaping and course development. Namely, Pacifico is noted for “The Tail of the Whale”, an optional par-3 hole located at 3B exemplifies the genius of Nicklaus when utilizing Punta Mita’s natural landscape. “The Tail of the Whale” extends across the ocean to a natural offshore green 199 yards from the oceanside tee box. It is fondly known as a ‘19th hole’ for golfers who are up to the challenge. Players who reach the green are then transported by amphibious cart to complete their outstanding performance.
The Punta Mita Bahia course, also designed by Jack Nicklaus, is a recent addition to Punta Mita’s portfolio of courses. Bahia will challenge your putting skills as the undulating greens require careful reading and the correct approach shot.
Introduced in 2009, the Bahia 18-hole championship course notably offers spectacular views of the water throughout its 7,035 yards of challenges. The most notable holes of this course are numbers 15 and 17; these holes daunt the most skilled golfers as they feature deep bunkers, drop-offs, and waterfront greens.
Since 2010, Litibu has been challenging golfers throughout its 7,022 yard course designed by Greg Norman. This course will challenge your directional skills as you play through a “jungle setting” for eight holes and then “links” style golfing for seven. Golfers who visit this course are usually recommended to keep a sharp eye and attention on their line, otherwise their ball could stray into the deep bunkers early in the course.
Hole 3b at Jack Nicklaus Four Seasons golf course. Called "Tail of the Whale", green is located off-shore on a small island. If golfer's ball lands on the green, they are escorted on a hybrid golf cart by Four Seasons Staff to finish their play.
