If, for some reason, you want to venture further than the oceanfront Infinity Pool or the Private beach at the base of Rancho 9, there are plenty of options for you and your group to play in the waves of the bay!
Sail
Our Rancho 9 Concierge can recommend some amazing boat rentals and charters to take your group out to open ocean, per your preferences.
The local yacht and boat charters can host up to 10 guests (dependent on company and vessel size) to take your group snorkeling, parasailing, or just out into open ocean to enjoy leisure time together in the sun.
Set Sail in Punta Mita
The Bay of Banderas is perfect for soaking in the beautiful scenery and watching a picturesque Mexican sunset. We all love to hear the waves roll in to lull us to sleep, but to feel them carry you away into the beautiful skyline is a completely different experience.
In March, Punta Mita hosts a 3-week biennial festival called the Extravaganza Nautica in Riviera Nayarit. Here, you can find water sports and sailing enthusiasts celebrating their nautical lifestyle together at sea.
Fishing
Thanks to the Marietas, the surrounding waters are renowned for the great quality of sport fishing for Rancho 9 guests. The Bahia de Banderas, or Banderas Bay, is one of the largest in the world and surrounded by popular game fish such as Amberjack, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, American Pompano, and so many more. Needless to say, you will find a great catch!
